MSW Organics Separation and Material Recovery

The PulpStar is a rotary, continuous, wet mill pulper for processing MSW or MRF rejects.  It operates at ambient temperature and at atmospheric pressure.  Process water is added to soften the tensile strength of the pulpable material such as card, paper and many foodstuffs.    These materials are pulped and separated by extraction through a fine opening, integrated, internal trommel screen of 25mm dia.   This ‘raw organic fibre' is taken off by conveyor for further processing to remove inerts after which it is dewatered resulting in a clean, cellulose fibre pulp.  The process water is absorbed by the pulp and none exits the PulpStar.  The large + 25mm inert materials exit the discharge end of the PulpStar for recovery on a clean MRF.

The fibrous pulp is a useful material for various industries.

The PulpStar will process up to 10 tonnes per hour and can be shipped globally.
